Marriage is all about the compromise, right? My guy is more of a beer guy (and is heavily into home brewing, even growing his own hops). I do like beer, but also really enjoy a good cocktail. That’s why I love these Beer Margaritas. It combines the bitter, maltiness of the beer with the citrusy sweet tang of the margarita. Compromise!
Cinco de Mayo comes one day before my husbands birthday. Always time to celebrate and toast a pint to the birthday boy. His favorite food is Mexican food, so we always find ourselves having a fun Cinco de Mayo feast. Beer Margaritas are great for your Cinco de Mayo food, like some chimichangas!
I always like a good cocktail that you can make a pitcher of when you are hosting a group of people. You make it up ahead of time so when guests arrive, you are relaxed and ready to socialize and host rather than feeling locked away behind a counter working for your guests. Not that they aren’t worth it!
Or you can create a perfect carafe for two for a little date night.
A few summers ago, we on the spur of the moment started Friday night happy hours. We always had my husbands beer on tap and I would always come up with a cocktail for the evening. I remember this one being the first one we tried. The evening was so fun, relaxed and a total success.
